<br />23 <br /> RFP 24-12-01 CITYWIDE ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />18070 Collins Ave. | Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160 <br />305.792.1707 | sibfl.net | Purchasing@sibfl.net <br />or materials billed to the City by the Contractor. <br />• The Contractor shall be responsible for the provision, installation and performance of all parts, <br />materials, etc. offered in their proposal. The Contractor is in no way relieved of the <br />responsibility of assuring the timely delivery of materials, parts, etc. even though it is not of <br />their own manufacture. <br />• City reserves the right to purchase the parts and material directly for the work, or provide the <br />parts and materials from the City’s storage/inventory. <br /> <br />3.4 STORAGE OF MATERIALS <br /> <br /> The contractor must provide for its own storage of material and equipment, if needed. No on-site <br /> storage is permitted at the work area or other public areas, unless it is pre-approved by the City. <br /> <br />3.5 SAFETY <br /> The Elevator Contractor shall take all necessary precautions for the safety of the City’s, and <br /> Elevator Contractor's, employees at the Property, and shall erect and properly maintain at all <br /> times, all necessary safeguards for the protection of the workmen and the public. The Elevator <br /> Contractor shall post signs warning against hazards in and around the Property. <br /> <br /> It shall be the responsibility of each bidder to assure compliance with OSHA, EPA, Federal, State <br /> of Florida, and City rules, regulations, or other requirements, as each may apply. <br /> <br />3.6 DAMAGE TO PUBLIC OR PRIVATE PROPERTY <br /> <br />The Contractor shall take extra precaution to protect all property while conducting services. The <br />Contractor shall be responsible for all damage to property whether it be accidental or necessary <br />for the completion of work. If property (public or private) is damaged while contractor is <br />performing work specified or is removed for the convenience of the work, it shall be repaired or <br />replaced at the expense of the contractor within (5) five days after notification, in a manner <br />acceptable to the City. <br /> <br />The Contractor is responsible for protection against mechanical damage which shall include <br />providing protection from vehicles and providing warning signs and barricades as might be <br />necessary, and shall repair, restore, and replace any areas which become damaged as a result of <br />any negligence of the Contractor or employees in complying with these requirements, within (5) <br />five days after notification, in a manner acceptable to the City. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for applying for and securing any permits that may be required <br />to complete work. Such property shall include but not be limited to existing facilities and all their <br />components, site amenities, concrete and/or asphalt surfaces, vehicles, structures, sidewalks, <br />curbs and gutters, driveways, utilities, etc. The Contractor must provide protection necessary to <br />prevent damage to property being repaired or replaced. If the work site has any pre-existing <br />damage, the Contractor shall notify the City in writing. Failure to do so shall oblige the contractor <br />to make repairs. <br /> <br />3.7 SCHEDULE <br /> <br />All maintenance procedures and repairs should be performed during regular working hours,
