Products of other manufacturers which meet the requirements of the Drawings and this <br />Section will be accepted, provided application is made as specified in Division 01, Section: <br />Substitution Procedures, of these Specifications and approval is obtained fro m the <br />Architect/Engineer. <br /> <br />2.2 MATERIALS <br /> <br />A. Tempered Glass: Comply with ASTM C1036 -85 and further processed in accordance with <br />ASTM C1048-35, Kind FT, which has been fully tempered by the manufacturer's standard <br />horizontal process. Minimum thickness of 1/4". <br /> <br />1. Clear Heat-Treated Float Glass: Condition A (uncoated surfaces), Type I <br />(transparent glass, flat), Class 1 (clear), Quality q3 (glazing select), Kind FT (Fully <br />Tempered) or Kind HS (Heat Strengthened). <br /> <br />B. Specific Requirements: <br /> <br />1. Glass in interior applications unless otherwise noted: 1/4" thick, clear <br />tempered plate. <br /> <br />2. Glass in exterior curtain walls and window systems, exterior glass door and in <br />window units: 9/16-inch -thick impact resistant. <br /> <br />a. Large missile: 9/16” laminated glass as manufactured by Viracon or <br />approved equal consisting of (2) 1/4” glass lites with a .060” PVB <br />interlayer. Exterior lite shall be Versalux Blue 2000, interior lite shall be <br />clear. System shall provide a shading coefficient of .55; a solar factor of <br />.47; winter nighttime u-value of .95 and summer daytime u-value of .86; <br />visible light transmitted of 40%, solar energy transmitted of 25% and UV <br /><1%. <br />b. Small missile: 9/16” laminated glass consisting of (2) 1/4” glass lites with <br />a .060” PVB interlayer. All other requirements to match large missile <br />specification above. <br />c. Tint: Pacific by PPG <br /> <br />3. Insulated Glass Units: Pacific tint by PPG on interior pane with clear 9/16 <br />laminated exterior unit. <br /> <br />4. One-Way Glass: Provide float glass manufacturer by horizontal (roller hearth) <br />process with roll wave distortion parallel with bottom edge of glass as installed, <br />unless otherwise indicated, and complying with FS DD-G-1403 for Grade B, style <br />I (uncoated surfaces), Type I (float), quality q2. <br /> <br />a. Light ratio: 8:1, Subject: Observer
