THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />PROJECT NO. 21-1011 <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT RELOCATION TO ANNEX <br /> <br />Project No. 21-1011 November 2024 024119 Selective Demolition-2 <br /> <br />D. Items indicated to be removed but of salvageable value to Contractor may be removed <br />from structure as work progresses. Transport salvaged items from site as they are <br />removed. <br /> <br />1. Storage or sale of removed items or materials on-site is not permitted. <br /> <br />E. Utility Service: Maintain existing utilities indicated to remain in service and protect them <br />against damage during selective demolition operations. <br /> <br />1. Do not interrupt utilities serving occupied facilities, except when authorized in <br />writing by Owner. Provide temporary services during interruptions to existing <br />utilities, as acceptable to Owner. <br />2. Maintain fire-protection facilities in service during selective demolition operations. <br /> <br />F. Environmental Controls: Use water sprinkling, temporary enclosures, and other methods <br />to limit dust and dirt migration. Comply with governing regulations pertaining to <br />environmental protection. <br /> <br />1. Do not use water when it may create hazardous or objectionable conditions such <br />as ice, flooding, and pollution. <br /> <br />G. Explosives: Use of explosives will not be permitted. <br /> <br />1.4 WARRANTY <br /> <br />A. Existing Warranties: Remove, replace, patch, and repair materials and surfaces cut or <br />damaged during selective demolition, by methods and with materials so as not to void <br />existing warranties. <br /> <br />1. Use original installer to the greatest extent possible <br /> <br />B. The following existing warranties are known to be in effect and will be through the <br />construction period. <br /> <br />1. SBS Modified Bituminous Membrane Roofing by Johns Manville, installed by <br />Southern Coast Enterprises under CG Chase Construction Management, Inc. <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS (NOT USED) <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.1 EXAMINATION <br /> <br />A. Verify that utilities have been disconnected and capped. <br /> <br />B. Inventory and record the condition of items to be removed and reinstalled and items to be <br />removed and salvaged. <br /> <br />C. Perform surveys as the Work progresses to detect hazards resulting from selective <br />demolition activities.
