POST-WORK SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />1. Five copies of a single post-Job Binder shall be submitted with separate <br />sections addressing requirements of the various specification sections. <br /> <br />2. For Section 02090 “Lead Abatement” the following information shall be included: <br /> <br />a. Written Negative Exposure Assessment including air-monitoring results, <br />and established level of PPE. <br />b. A copy of all shipping manifests that document disposal of all lead at an <br />approved solid waste facility. <br /> <br />PART 2 – PRODUCTS - NOT USED <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.1 GENERAL <br /> <br />A. Eating, smoking, drinking, or applying cosmetics shall not be permitted in lead abatement <br />work areas. Personnel not engaged in lead abatement activities shall not be exposed at any <br />time to airborne concentrations of lead dust or fumes in excess of the action level. <br /> <br />B. Medical requirements shall conform to 29 CFR 1926.62. <br /> <br />C. Respiratory protection shall conform to 29 CFR 1910.134. <br /> <br />D. Prior to commencement of work, each worker entering a lead related work area or handling <br />lead containing wastes shall have successfully completed training in lead abatement as <br />required by current EPA regulations and shall have completed a 2-hour training session. <br />Workers who have received this training more than one year prior to commencement of work <br />shall have successfully completed an annual refresher training course. All materials relating to <br />the training program must be made readily available to all employees. <br /> <br />E. Lead panel removal work shall be performed in compliance with the Contractor's approved <br />Work Plan without damage or contamination of adjacent work or areas. The Contractor shall <br />stop work when the Industrial Hygienist, the Owner's Representative, or a representative of an <br />applicable regulatory agency determines that the work is not in full compliance with the <br />Contractor's approved work plan, these specifications, and applicable laws and regulations. <br /> <br />3.2 PERSONAL MONITORING <br /> <br />A. The Contractor is responsible for any air monitoring required to establish a negative exposure <br />assessment in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.62. The Owner shall have the option of <br />performing air and dust monitoring during the course of the demolition project. <br /> <br />3.3 WASTE MATERIALS <br /> <br />A. All lead debris from the project shall be disposed of as hazardous material. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />END OF SECTION
