Complete data substantiating compliance of the proposed substitution with the <br />requirements of the Specifications and Drawings. <br />2. For products: <br /> <br />a. Product identification, including manufacturer’s name and address. <br />b. Manufacturer's literature, including product description, performance and <br />test data and pertinent reference standards. <br /> <br />3. For construction methods: <br /> <br />a. Detailed description of proposed method. <br />b. Working drawings illustrating methods. <br /> <br />4. Itemized comparison of proposed substitution with product specified. <br />Comparison shall include cost, differences in estimated life, estimated <br />maintenance, availability of spare parts and repair services, energy consumption, <br />performance capacity, salvage ability, manufacturer's warranties and other <br />material differences. <br /> <br />5. Data relating to changes in construction schedule. <br /> <br />6. Accurate cost data on proposed substitution in comparison with product and <br />method specified except that cost data will not be required on substitutes <br />proposed as equal, equivalent or superior to specified brand names and for <br />which no request is made for price adjustment to the Subcontract. <br /> <br />7. Equitable adjustment and credit that the Contractor proposes to offer MDC if the <br />substitutions are not equal, equivalent or superior to specified brand names. B. <br />In making request for substitution, Contractor shall verify: <br /> <br />a. That he has personally investigated the proposed product and method <br />and that to the best of his knowledge, information and belief, the <br />product and method is either equivalent or superior to that product and <br />method specified and that he will update information as new or different <br />data become known to him. <br />b. That he will furnish the same guarantee for substitution as he would for <br />the product and method specified. <br />c. That he will coordinate installation of the accepted substitution into the <br />Work and will make those changes required for the Work to be complete <br />and operable. <br />d. That cost data is complete and includes related costs and excludes cost <br />of engineering redesign. <br />e. That he waives claims for additional time and costs related to the <br />substitution, which becomes apparent. <br />
