PVC Waterstop: <br />1. PVC Waterstop shall be extruded from an elastomeric polyvinyl chloride compound <br />containing the plasticizers, resins, stabilizers, and other materials necessary to <br />meet the requirements of this Section. No reclaimed or scrap material shall be <br />used. The CONTRACTOR shall obtain from the Waterstop manufacturer and shall <br />furnish to the ENGINEER for review, current test reports and a written certification <br />of the manufacturer that the material to be shipped to the job meets the physical <br />requirements as outlined in the USACE CRD-C572, and those listed herein. <br /> <br />2. Flat strip and Center-Bulb Waterstop: The thickness of Waterstop, including the <br />center bulb, shall not be less than 3/8-inch. Waterstop shall be provided with <br />factory installed hog rings at 12 inches on centers along the Waterstop. <br /> <br />3. Multi-Rib Waterstop: Multi-rib Waterstop where required shall have prefabricated <br />(shop made fitting) joint fittings at all intersections of the ribbed-type Waterstop. <br /> <br />4. Retrofit Waterstop: Retrofit Waterstop and batten bars shall be manufactured as <br />a complete system including Waterstop, SS batten bar, SS anchor bolts, and epoxy <br />gel. <br /> <br />5. Pre-formed Hydrophilic Waterstop: <br /> <br />1. Hydrophilic (bentonite-free) Waterstop shall be the type that expands in the <br />presence of water to form a watertight joint seal without damaging the concrete <br />in which it is cast.
