THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />PROJECT NO. 21-1011 <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT RELOCATION TO ANNEX <br /> <br />Project No. 21-1011 November 2024 042200 Concrete Unit Masonry-6 <br />A. A. Cut and fit for [chases] [pipes] [conduit] [sleeves] [grounds] [and] <Insert option <br />Here>. Cooperate with other sections of work to provide correct size, shape, and location. <br />B. Obtain approval from the University prior to cutting or fitting areas not indicated or where <br />appearance or strength of masonry work may be impaired. <br />3.13 CLEANING <br />A. Remove excess mortar and smears. <br />B. Replace defective mortar. Match adjacent work. <br />C. Clean soiled surfaces with a nonacidic solution that will not harm masonry or adjacent <br />materials. Consult masonry manufacturer for acceptable cleaners. <br />D. Use nonmetallic tools in cleaning operations. <br />3.14 PROTECTION <br />A. Protect finished installation under provisions of Division 01 Section "General Requirements". <br />B. Maintain protective boards at exposed external corners which may be damaged by <br />construction activities. <br />C. Provide protection without damaging completed work. <br />D. At day's end, cover unfinished walls to prevent moisture infiltration. <br />END OF SECTION
