The drawings and general conditions of the contract including General and Supplementary <br />Conditions and other Division 1 Specification sections apply to work of this section. <br /> <br />B. Examine all other sections of the Specifications for requirements which affect work of this <br />Section whether or not such work is specifically mentioned in this Section. <br /> <br />C. Coordinate work with that of all trades affecting or affected by work of this Section. <br />Cooperate with such trades to assure the steady progress of all work under the Contract. <br /> <br />1.2 DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> <br />A. Extent of metal floor and roof deck is shown on the drawings and includes type VL <br />composite floor deck, roof deck, cell closures, end plates, pour stops with vertical leg return <br />lip, metal lath column closures, composite finish strips, welding washers and sump plates <br />or pans. <br /> <br />1.3 RELATED WORK <br /> <br />A. Section 05 12 00 - Structural Steel <br /> <br />B. Section 05 50 00 - Metal Fabrications <br /> <br />1.4 QUALITY STANDARDS <br /> <br />A. Codes and Standards: Comply with provisions of the following codes and standards, except <br />where more stringent requirements are indicated or specified: <br /> <br />1. AISI "Specification for the Design of Cold Formed Steel Structural Members”. <br /> <br />2. AWS D1.1 "Structural Welding Code" - Steel <br /> <br />3. AWS D1.3 "Structural Welding Code" - Sheet Steel <br /> <br />4. Steel Deck Institute (SDI) “Design Manual for Floor Decks and Roof Decks”. <br /> <br />5. “Code of Federal Regulations, Part 1926” per the Occupational Safety and Health <br />Administration (OSHA), Department of Labor (Latest Revision). <br /> <br />B. Qualification of field welding: Qualify welding process and welding operators in accordance <br />with AWS D1.1 "Standard Qualification Procedure." <br /> <br />1.5 SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />A. Unless otherwise specified, submittals required in this section shall be submitted for review.
