ASTM D 1475 <br />Solids by Weight 43% ASTM D 4479 <br />Flash Point 101ºF minimum ASTM D 93 <br /> <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.1 INSPECTION <br /> <br />A. Do not proceed with the work of this section until conditions detrimental to the proper and <br />timely completion of the work have been corrected in an acceptable manner. <br /> <br />B. Before installing sheet metal, verify shapes and dimension of surfaces to be covered. <br /> <br />C. Verify that substrates are smooth and clean to extent needed for sheet metal work. <br /> <br />D. Verify that reglet, nails, cants, and blocking, to receive sheet metal are installed and free <br />of concrete and soil. <br /> <br />E. Correct unsatisfactory conditions before proceeding with this work. <br /> <br />F. Verify that surfaces, which are inaccessible after fabrication or installation, are shop prime <br />coated. <br /> <br />3.2 BASE FLASHINGS <br />A. Preparation: <br /> <br />1. Remove existing flashing materials to substrate. Replace damaged material in like <br />kind. <br />2. Prime vertical substrate with asphalt primer at approximate rate of one gallon per <br />125 – 150 sq. ft. <br />3. Install new roofing two inches beyond top edge of cant. <br /> <br />B. Base ply(s): <br /> <br />1. Fully adhere one (1) ply of specified base flashing completely to flashing substrate, <br />cant, and roofing. Flashing should extend a minimum of 8" and maximum of 14”
