Sealants and Caulking: <br /> <br />a. Bostik Construction Products Div. <br />b. Pecora Corporation <br />c. Sonneborn Building Products <br />d. Tremco Manufacturing Company <br />e. W. R. Meadows, Inc. <br /> <br />2.2 GENERAL: <br /> <br />A. Before purchase of each specified sealant, investigate its compatibility with the joint <br />surfaces, joint fillers, and other materials in the joint system. Select materials for <br />compatibility with joint surfaces and other indicated exposures, and except as otherwise <br />indicated select modulus of elasticity and hardness or grade recommended by <br />manufacturer for each application indicated. <br /> <br />B. Provide colors as selected by Engineer from manufacturer's standard colors. <br /> <br />2.3 ELASTOMERIC SEALANTS: <br /> <br />A. Sealants conforming to equivalent Federal Specifications will be acceptable. <br /> <br />1. One-Component Urethane Sealant: (Use NT) <br /> <br />a. Conform to ASTM C920, Type S, Grade NS, Class 25. Use classification as <br />required by locations stated below. <br />b. Manufacturer: Pecora Dynatrol I or Tremco Dymonic <br />c. Use in the following locations: <br /> <br />i. Exterior and interior joints around perimeter of doors and louver <br />frames. <br />ii. Thresholds <br />iii. Joints between gypsum board and precast concrete. <br />iv. Penetrations in exterior wall (both sides of wall) by piping, conduit <br />and other service equipment. (Does not include generator <br />exhaust opening). <br />v. Perimeter of stainless-steel plate at pipe wall sleeves. <br /> <br />2.4 MISCELLANEOUS MATERIALS: <br /> <br />A. Joint Cleaner: Type as recommended by the sealant manufacturer, for the joint surfaces <br />to be cleaned, which are not harmful to substrates and adjacent surfaces, and which do <br />not leave oily residues or have detrimental effect on sealant adhesion or in-service <br />performance. <br /> <br />B. Joint Primer/Sealer: Type as recommended by the sealant manufacturer, for the joint <br />surfaces to be primed or sealed. <br /> <br /> <br />
