THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />PROJECT NO. 21-1011 <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT RELOCATION TO ANNEX <br /> <br />Project No. 21-1011 November 2024 092423-7 <br /> <br />1. Intent of mock-up is to demonstrate quality of workmanship and visual <br />appearance. <br /> <br />2. If mock-up is not acceptable, rebuild mock-up until satisfactory results are <br />achieved. <br /> <br />3. Retain mock-up during construction as a standard for comparison with completed <br />work. <br /> <br />4. Do not alter or remove mock-up until work is completed or removal is <br />authorized. <br />1.7 PRE-INSTALLATION CONFERENCE <br />A. Convene a conference approximately two weeks before scheduled commencement of the <br />Work. Attendees shall include Architect, Contractor and trades involved. Agenda shall <br />include schedule, responsibilities, critical path items and approvals. <br />1.8 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br />A. Store and handle in strict compliance with manufacturer's written instructions, labeling <br />and recommendations. <br />B. Deliver materials in their original sealed containers bearing manufacturer's name and <br />identification of product. <br />C. Protect insulation materials from prolonged UV exposure, keep away from sources of <br />heat, sparks, flame, flammable or volatile materials. Store on a clean, flat surface, off the <br />ground in a dry area. <br />D. Protect coatings, pail products, from freezing and temperatures in excess of 90 degrees F <br />(32 degrees C). Store away from direct sunlight. <br />E. Protect Portland cement-based materials, bag products, from moisture and humidity. <br />Store under cover off the ground in a dry location. <br />F. Protect from damage due to weather, excessive temperature, and construction <br />operations. <br />1.9 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br />A. Maintain ambient and surface temperatures above 40 degrees F (4 degrees C) during <br />application and for 24 hours after set of stucco, and application of waterproof air barrier <br />and finish materials. <br />B. Provide supplementary heat for installation in temperatures less than 40 degrees F (4 <br />degrees C) such that material temperatures are maintained as specified. Prevent <br />concentration of heat on uncured stucco and vent fumes and other products of <br />combustion to the outside to prevent contact with stucco. <br />C. Prevent uneven or excessive evaporation of moisture from stucco during hot, dry or <br />windy weather. For installation under any of these conditions provide special measures to <br />properly moist cure the stucco. Do not install stucco if ambient temperatures are <br />expected to rise above 100 degrees F (38 degrees C) within a 24-hour period.
