Porcelain Tile: <br />1. Composition: Porcelain, ISO 13006 Groups AIa and BIa for water absorption and <br />dimensional tolerances <br />2. Module Size: As indicated on Finish Schedule (Large Format is any tile 15 inches <br />or more on any side. Heavy Format is defined as tile weighing over 5 lbs. per <br />square foot.) <br />3. Edges rectified. <br /> <br />2.4 SETTING MATERIALS <br /> <br />A. Portland Cement: ASTM C150 Type 1 <br /> <br />B. Improved Latex-Portland Cement Mortar: ANSI A118.15 <br />1. Mixture of Dry-Mortar Mix and Latex Additive: Mixture of prepackaged dry <br />mortar mix and liquid acrylic latex additive. <br />2. For wall applications, provide non-sagging, latex-portland cement mortar <br />complying with ANSI A118.15. <br />3. Use specifically formulated setting mortars for LHT. <br />4. Porcelain Tile: Minimum 400 psi mix <br /> <br />C. Hydrated Lime: ASTM C206 or C207 Type S <br /> <br />D. Sand: ASTM C144 <br /> <br />E. Water: Clean and drinkable <br /> <br />2.5 GROUTING MATERIALS <br /> <br />A. Standard Sanded Cement Grout: ANSI A118.6, for joints 1/8 inch or wider. <br /> <br />B. Standard Unsanded Cement Grout: ANSI A118.6, for joints less than 1/8 inch <br /> <br />C. Latex-Portland Cement Grout: ANSI A118.6 for materials described in Section H-2.4, <br />composed as follows: <br />1. Sanded Dry-Grout Mix and Latex Additive: Factory-prepared, dry-grout mix and <br />liquid acrylic latex additive. <br /> <br />D. Color: Gray – General Contractor shall submit grout samples for review and final <br />approval.
