Section includes soil treatment for termite control under construction. <br /> <br />B. Related Sections: <br /> <br />1. Section 02200: Earthwork. <br />2. Section 03300: Cast-In-Place Concrete. <br /> <br />1.2 SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />A. Product data, including manufacturer’s specifications, chemical analysis, recommended <br />dilution, application directions and safety precautions. <br /> <br />B. Sample copy of applicator's warranty for review. <br /> <br />C. Applicator's experience evidence and local and state license numbers. <br /> <br />1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> <br />A. Work shall be done by a bonded applicator whose principal business is extermination and <br />termite treatment and who can show evidence of at least five years of successful operation <br />in his field. <br /> <br />B. Use of chlordane or heptachlor is prohibited. <br /> <br />C. Field Samples: Test samples of the mixture of concentrate and water will be taken by the <br />Owner's testing laboratory. If sample solution indicates non-compliance with manufacturer's <br />application requirements, Contractor shall pay for the initial test, subsequent retesting <br />required by the Owner, and reapplication of soil treatment solution. <br /> <br />1.4 PROTECTION <br /> <br />A. Do not apply solution when soil or fill is excessively wet or after heavy rains, to avoid surface <br />flow of overspray of toxicant from application site. <br /> <br />B. Unless treated areas are to be immediately covered, take precautions to prevent disturbance <br />of treatment by human or animal contact. <br /> <br />1. If applicable, coordinate with Parks Turtle Conservation Program prior to <br />commencing with the work. <br /> <br />C. Comply with applicable laws, codes, ordinances of Federal, State and local regulatory
