ENROLLED <br />2025 Legislature <br />SB 2-C <br />20252Cer <br />1150 Section 26. Students receiving a fee waiver pursuant to s. <br />1151 1009.26(12), Florida Statutes, must be reevaluated for <br />1152 eligibility beginning July 1, 2025. <br />1153 Section 27. Section 1 of chapter 2023-3, Laws of Florida, <br />1154 is repealed. <br />1155 Section 28. (1) The State Board of Immigration Enforcement <br />1156 within the Department of Law Enforcement is authorized, and all <br />1157 conditions are deemed met, to adopt emergency rules pursuant to <br />1158 s. 120.54(4), Florida Statutes, for the purpose of implementing <br />1159 provisions related to the Local Law Enforcement Immigration <br />1160 Grant Program created by this act. Notwithstanding any other <br />1161 law, emergency rules adopted pursuant to this subsection are <br />1162 effective for 6 months after adoption and may be renewed during <br />1163 the pendency of procedures to adopt permanent rules addressing <br />1164 the subject of the emergency rules. <br />1165 (2) This section expires July 1, 2026. <br />1166 Section 29. The Legislature finds that the state's criminal <br />1167 justice training centers as well as facilities of the Department <br />1168 of Military Affairs, such as the Camp Blanding Joint Training <br />1169 Center, are highly qualified and critical strategic, year-round <br />1170 assets for training. The Legislature has made significant <br />1171 investments to make the Camp Blanding Joint Training Center the <br />1172 premier facility in the Southeast. In order to support the <br />1173 anticipated training and operations involving multiple federal, <br />1174 state, and local agencies, and given the scale and value of this <br />1175 state's assets, the Department of Military Affairs and local law <br />1176 enforcement shall work with the State Board of Immigration <br />1177 Enforcement within the Department of Law Enforcement to ensure <br />1178 that the state's federal partners can access and use the state's <br />Page 47 of 51 <br />CODING: Wordsen are deletions; words underlined are additions. 280 <br />
