ENROLLED <br />2025 Legislature <br />SB 2-C <br />20252Cer <br />146 Florida Statutes, to read: <br />147 320.01 Definitions, general.—As used in the Florida <br />148 Statutes, except as otherwise provided, the term: <br />149 (46) "Valid passport" means: <br />150 (a) An unexpired passport or passport card issued by the <br />151 United States government; or <br />152 (b) An unexpired passport issued by the government of <br />153 another country with: <br />154 1. A stamp or mark affixed by the Federal Government onto <br />155 the passport to evidence and authorize lawful presence in the <br />156 United States; or <br />157 2. An unexpired I-94, or current permanent resident card, <br />158 or unexpired immigrant visa, issued by the Federal Government. <br />159 Section 4. Subsection (2) of section 322.02, Florida <br />160 Statutes, is amended to read: <br />161 322.02 Legislative intent; administration. - <br />162 (2) The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles is <br />163 charged with the administration and function of enforcement of <br />164 this chapter and the administration and enforcement of 49 C.F.R. <br />165 parts 382-386 and 390-397. The Legislature intends for the state <br />166 to meet all minimum security standards of the REAL ID Act of <br />167 2005, Public Law No. 109-13, for driver licenses and <br />168 identification cards issued by this state. Such action ensures <br />169 that all state -issued driver licenses and identification cards <br />170 are available to United States citizens and individuals who are <br />171 not citizens but who are lawfully present and meet the <br />172 requirements of the REAL ID Act. <br />173 Section 5.
