Members of the board of 1880 <br />trustees shall serve without compensation, but may be reimbursed 1881 <br />for per diem and travel expenses pursuant to s. 112.061. The 1882 <br />board of trustees shall be a body corporate with all the powers 1883 <br />of a body corporate and such authority as is needed for the 1884 <br />proper operation and improvement of the Florida Virtual School. 1885 <br />The board of trustees is specifically authorized to adopt rules, 1886 <br />policies, and procedures, consistent with law and rules of the 1887 <br />State Board of Education related to governance, personnel, 1888 <br />budget and finance, administration, programs, curriculum and 1889 <br />instruction, travel and purchasing, technology, students, 1890 <br />contracts and grants, and property as necessary for optimal, 1891 <br />efficient operation of the Florida Virtual School. Tangible 1892 <br />personal property owned by the board of trustees shall be 1893 <br />subject to the provisions of chapter 273. 1894 <br /> Section 57. For the purpose of incorporating the amendment 1895 <br />made by this act to section 768.28, Florida Statutes, in a 1896 <br />reference thereto, paragraph (l) of subsection (3) of section 1897 <br />1002.55, Florida Statutes, is reenacted to read: 1898 <br /> 1002.55 School-year prekindergarten program delivered by 1899 <br />private prekindergarten providers.— 1900
