<br /> <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />NE 174th Street Roadway Improvements <br />329200 - 1 Sodding <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 329200 – TURF AND GRASSES <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> <br />1.01 RELATED DOCUMENTS: <br /> <br />A. All applicable provisions of the BIDDING REQUIREMENTS, CONTRACT FORMS, <br />CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT AND DIVISION 1, GENERAL REQUIREMENTS shall <br />govern the work under this section. <br /> <br />B. See Special Provisions Section <br /> <br />C. Review plans and specifications for related work. Site Work- excavation, back fill, compaction, <br />paving, and curbs. Irrigation- valve, head and line location and depth. <br /> <br /> <br />1.02 WORK INCLUDED: <br /> <br />A. Provide all labor, materials, necessary equipment, services and included but not limited to all <br />related work to complete the lawns and grasses work as shown on the drawings, as specified <br />herein or both, except as for items specifically indicated as “NIC ITEMS”. <br /> <br />B. Installation: All plant materials included shall be of the specific size and quality indicated on the <br />drawings and in these specifications and shall be installed in strict accordance with sound nursery <br />practices and shall include maintenance and watering for all work outlined on the drawings and <br />specifications until beneficial occupancy. <br /> <br />C. Quantities and Locations: The Architect reserves the right to adjust the number and locations of <br />the designated types and species to be used at any of the locations shown, in order to provide for <br />any modifications which might become necessary. <br /> <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE: <br /> <br />A. Responsibility for Assuring Quality Work: <br /> <br />1. The subcontractor's superintendent shall be well versed in Florida plant material, planting <br />operations, reading drawings, and coordination with other contracts or services in the job <br />area. <br />2. All employees shall be competent and highly skilled in their particular job in order to <br />properly perform the work assigned to them. The subcontractor shall be responsible for <br />maintaining the quality of the material on the job throughout the duration of his <br />responsibility. <br /> <br />B. Quality of Sod: Any nursery supplying sod that has represented the quality of the sod as being <br />higher than the actual grade as determined under this Section shall remove from the project all <br />sod already delivered. Also, the nursery shall not be allowed to supply any additional sod until <br />written evidence is submitted by the subcontractor and confirmed by the Architect that all <br />material for delivery has been inspected & approved by the State Plant Board as being of the <br />quality as represented <br />
