Inc., Proposal No. 14- 7122.1 <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />Emergency Seawall Repair, Design, Permitting & Inspection <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />1. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. will perform the following services based on <br />our understanding of the project requirements: <br />I. Professional Engineering Services <br />A. Civil Engineering <br />1. Perform field investigation of existing seawall along the Intracoastal <br />Park to identify existing infrastructure and ascertain potential methods <br />for repair /replacement. <br />2. Develop seawall design to accommodate repairs specific to different <br />seawall sections to accommodate the City's objectives and budget. <br />3. Design supporting batter pile and cap system to provide horizontal <br />stabilization to alleviate risk of failure due to existing tie -backs that <br />have been or may have been cut. v <br />4. Perform structural analysis for seawall components to be submitted to <br />City for approval. <br />5. Develop plans and details for proposed seawall repairs /modifications. <br />6. Respond to contractor RFI's and review shop drawings. <br />Assist with engineering permitting related tasks (responses to <br />comments, modifications to plans, etc.). <br />8. Attend 5 field meetings during the construct phase of the project. <br />SIB <br />
