Bid item 17 shows a cable railing for a total of 75LF. plan sheet CM-2.4 cable railing by others. <br />Please clarify what the intent of the bid item and plan sheet. <br />A1. Included in project. <br />Q2. Bid item 16 shows a security gate, 1EA. plan sheet CM-2.4 shows a security gate by others. Please <br />clarify what the intent of the bid item and plan sheet. <br />A2. Included in project. <br />Q3. Will there be a test pile program to determine pile length. if so, how will this be paid for and how <br />many piles will be test pile and in what locations. <br />A3. We have spec’d (1) indicator pile to be driven prior to production piles. The contractor shall plan on <br />driving the indicator pile up to 10’ deeper than the planned production piles (therefore, plan on 32’ long <br />indicator pile). The cost is typically included in the contractor bid. <br />Q4. If no test pile program, provide pile length for both vertical and batter piles. <br />A4. King piles = 22’ long, batter piles = 23.5’ long. I suspect contractor will purchase 25’ piles if the <br />indicator pile confirms design. <br />Q5. Provide pile cut off elevation. <br />A5. EL. +5.59’ NAVD29 <br />Q6. Please provide the width and height of each concrete panel. <br />A6. Height = 12’ (w/ 3’ minimum embedment below ML), width = 8’, thickness = 8”
