Page 8 of 10 <br />6.0 - Medical Emergencies <br />Medical Emergencies are considered those to be life-threating such as, but not limited to: <br />• Non-stop breathing <br />• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing <br />• Chest pain <br />• Choking <br />For life-threating emergencies Call 911 and follow the instructions from the Emergency <br />Management Service. In the meantime and if possible, attempt to contact a family member <br />of individual and advice of the situation. Also, call receptionist to advise that a 911 call has <br />been placed and advice of the location of the individual. When EMS arrives, the receptionist <br />will guide EMS to the correct location. <br />The nearest hospital with Emergency Care to the project site located at 500 Sunny Isles <br />Beach Blvd, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br /> <br />Hospital with Emergency Care <br />HCA Florida Aventura Hopsital – 20900 Biscayne Blvd, Aventura, FL 33180 <br /> <br /> Urgent Care <br />+Medrite Sunny Isles Urgent Care – 17100 Collins Ave 117&118, Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160 <br /> <br /> <br />7.0 - Natural Disasters <br /> <br />This section covers the steps to be taken following a natural disaster to assure employee <br />safety and restore operations in a timely fashion. Given that natural disaster is <br />unpredictable, it is important to note that natural disasters could significantly affect a wide <br />geographical area, exhausting the resources of emergency service organizations. As a <br />result, private businesses may be without such services for 48 to 72 hours. <br /> <br />Hurricanes <br />The site will follow instructions from the National Hurricane Center (www.nhc.noaa.gov ). <br />The EEL will communicate with the site via emails, meetings or de like and share all <br />information related to the state of the hurricane as well as preparation.
