Make sure <br />you are familiar with the locations of the SDSs as well as the location of the chemical <br />cabinets. <br />Fires and Explosions <br /> <br />In the event of a fire or explosion: <br /> <br />1. Pull the nearest pull station, is safe to so <br />a. If you were not able to pull the station ensure that you notify the EEL and call <br />911 <br />2. Evacuate through the nearest exit <br />3. Go to your designated gathering point and follow instructions from the EEL <br /> <br />Use of Fire Extinguishers <br />An incipient fire is small in nature and contained. If an incipient fire occurs and only if you <br />feel safe: <br />• Go to the nearest fire extinguisher <br />• Grab the extinguisher <br />• Remove the safety pin <br />• PASS <br />▪ Pull → Aim → Squeeze → Sweep <br />▪ Make sure you keep your distance from the fire <br />• If the fire does not cease, go to the nearest station and pull it, then evacuate <br /> <br /> www.osha.gov
