PURPOSE OF THIS PLAN <br /> <br /> <br />This “Health and Safety Plan” has been prepared in compliance with 29 CFR OSHA 1926 Construction <br />Regulations, which establishes the minimum Health and Safety provisions on construction sites and <br />bearing in mind that stipulated in 29 CFR OSHA 1910 Industry Regulations and the application of all <br />the other legal Health and Safety provisions. <br /> <br />The Coast to Coast Dock and Seawall, LLC Health and Safety Service will provide advice regarding the <br />application and coordination of this Health and Safety Plan, evaluate the hazard factors involved and <br />supply information about the adoption of health and safety measures. <br /> <br />1.2. HAZARD ANALYSIS <br />1.2.1. Hazards and Health and Safety Measures <br /> <br />WORKING WITH MACHINERY AND VEHICLES IN GENERAL <br /> <br />HAZARD HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES <br />➢ Being run over, <br />knocked, machines <br />overturning and <br />false maneuvers <br />➢ The site must be inspected before any work begins in order <br />to check for severe unevenness in the terrain, objects, etc. <br />that could put the stability of the machines at risk. <br />➢ Warning signs must be installed to advise all works <br />personnel of the dangers of being hit/run over by <br />machines/vehicles and/or of these overturning or colliding. <br />➢ In the event of the workers on foot having to use the same <br />route as the vehicles and machines in order to access the <br />workzone, a safety barrier must be installed (fence, <br />guardrail, protected walkway, etc.) to separate the two <br />different transit routes. <br />➢ Workers are strictly prohibited from moving about or <br />standing within the radius of action of working machinery, <br />with the exception of the signalman directing the <br />maneuvers. <br />➢ The fact that it is prohibited to remain within the radius of <br />action of the machines must be signposted and the work <br />areas must be cordoned off. <br />➢ All vehicle drivers/machine operators must be in <br />possession of a valid driver's license and of the <br />relevant qualification/training certificate. <br />➢ All specialist machine operators must be provided <br />with a copy of the relevant health and safety <br />instructions. <br />➢ Whenever machine operators do not have clear
