➢ Generalized Fire: This is a fire that not only affects the site, but also those areas surrounding
it and, therefore, third parties. The site must be immediately evacuated, the Project
Management Team must be informed and the external emergency services must be called
in.

GENERAL RULES OF WHAT TO DO IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT
➢ If the injuries do not cause the accident victim to lose consciousness and mobility and do
not, initially, appear to be serious, the victim must be taken to the nearest healthcare center
in a works vehicle. If necessary, initial first aid can be administered to the victim using the
means available in the first aid kit before they are taken away.
➢ Regarding those accidents in which the victim loses consciousness or internal injuries are
suspected, those present must act as follows:
➢ “The victim must not be moved” unless their life is in immediate danger, fire, asphyxiation,
etc.
➢ Check that the victim can breathe unassisted. If not, artificial respiration and, if necessary,
cardiac massage (resuscitation techniques) must be applied.
➢ Request help immediately (emergency services telephone numbers) and prepare access
points and evacuation measures indicating the place of the accident.
➢ Do not leave the injured person's side. There must always be somebody with first aid
knowledge and experience with the victim.
➢ Cover the victim with a blanket to prevent them from cooling down and possible shock.
➢ Prevent the victim's colleagues from all trying to help at the same time and from moving
them.
➢ At least one person must accompany the victim to the healthcare center in order to learn
the extent of the injuries and provide the medical staff with the information they need.
➢ The Project Management Team and Site Manager must be notified of the incident so that
the communications procedure indicated in the organizational chart attached can be
followed.

What to do in the Event of an Emergency involving Overhead Electricity Power Lines:

The following emergency situations are possible:
➢ Fallen Line.

Nobody must be allowed to go near the danger area until a specialist has confirmed that the current
has been switched off.
Anybody in direct contact with an electricity power line must not be touched. In the event of it being
a low-voltage line, an attempt must be made to separate the victim using non-conductive elements
without touching them directly.

➢ Accident Involving Machines.
In the event of contact between an overhead electricity power line and an excavation machine,
transportation vehicle, etc., the following rules must be followed:
