C,rY QF- Slli :F;yV <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />VIA: Stan Morris, City Manager. <br />FROM: Genesis Cuevas, Purchasing Director. <br />DATE: October 16, 2025 <br />RE: Reject Request for Proposals No. 25-08-01 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />On August 15, 2025, the City released RFP 25-08-01 titled Temporary Holiday Themed Experience. <br />The City invited qualified firms with demonstrated success in design, development, construction, <br />management and operation to deliver a turn -key high quality, outdoor Winter Village experience <br />featuring a faux ice-skating area ("Seasonal Event" or "Experiential Activation" or "Winter Village"). <br />This Winter Village experiential was anticipated to serve as a South Florida regional attraction for the <br />holiday season. The commercial event was anticipated to run for a maximum of six weeks, spanning <br />from mid-to-late November 2025 through early January 2026. <br />The RFP had the following Minimum Qualification Requirements (MQR): <br />Firms that do not comply with MQRs may be determined non-responsive and disqualified. <br />a. The Prime Proposer and/or Sub -contractor shall hold the proper license in the State of Florida to <br />perform the Scope of Work set forth within this solicitation to include being registered as a Certified <br />Electrical Contractor with the State of Florida along with registration to conduct business in the State of <br />Florida in all required disciplines, as required by the City's requirements based on the proposed <br />electrical work. <br />• The Prime Firm and/or Sub -contractor may hold a Certified Mechanical Contractor and/or <br />Item Number: 9.N <br />387 <br />
