Past Performance and Municipal Focus
Our longstanding representation of local governments reflects a consistent record of effective
advocacy, successful appropriations, and protection of municipal authority. Many of our local
government clients have been engaged with our firm for over a decade. We understand the
political, procedural, and fiscal dynamics unique to municipal clients and tailor our strategies
accordingly.
Relevant Municipal Advocacy Experience
Our firms have extensive experience working with local governments throughout Florida,
providing strategic government relations and advocacy services tailored to local needs. Our current
state and federal client list includes entities facing similar challenges, including Miami-Dade
County, the City of Belle Glade, Palm Beach County, Mangonia Park, Loxahatchee Groves, and
others. Each faces issues related to Sunny Isles Beach, including transportation, economic
development, infrastructure, water and wastewater management, and public safety. This
experience helps us understand the specific issues facing the City, especially as it manages growth
and development while addressing the needs of its residents and businesses.
Below are just a few examples of our firm’s successes on behalf of local governments.
Funding Secured by PLG for Municipalities and Government Entities of Similar Size
Transportation Funding Secured:
•$2,500,000 - Dunlawton Avenue Construction to build operable and dependable
hurricane evacuation routes (City of Port Orange)
•$1,250,000 - Dunlawton Avenue Road Improvements secured during a legislative year
where funding for local road projects was not favorable (City of Port Orange)
•$100,000 - Mill and Repaving Program (Town of Mangonia Park)
•$9,000,000 - Small City/Small County Road Funding (Palm Beach County/City of Belle
Glade)
•$1,185,000 - Roadway Project (City of Belle Glade)
Economic Development Funding Secured:
•$1,400,000 - Workforce Development at West Tech Academy (Palm Beach County)
•$9,000,000 - Palm Beach State College PECO funding (Palm Beach County)
•$375,000 - Senior Home Rehabilitation Grant Program (City of Belle Glade)
•$2,000,000 - Farm to Market Road Improvements for Transport of Agricultural Products
(Palm Beach County)
•$3,000,000 - South-Dade Trail (Miami-Dade County)
PITTMAN LAW GROUP RFP #26-01-01 9
