'M OF
y \S LES
RECEIVED
PZ2025-08
1214125
PLANNING & ZONING DEPT.
December 2, 2025
RE: Capacity for Waste Services at 19051 Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach (145 Units and Other
Residential Common Areas)
To the plan reviewer/ David Ettinger:
WastePro USA has reviewed the information for the above -mentioned location and agrees with the solid
waste and capacity analysis. This approval is based on clear access to the dumpsters on the dock area,
as what it appears to be in the site plan. Approximately 1,000 cubic yards of trash can be picked up per
month from this building and Waste Pro is fully capable of handling the waste removal. Waste Pro has
the capability to process the waste and our designated facility and the final disposal location has the
capacity to receive and process the material once transferred. To clarify, if the formula of the 7 pounds
of trash per unit is calculated in a 30 day month, that is 210 Ibs per month generated. There are on
average 150 pounds per yard in average residential waste. That is only 1.4 yards generated per month
of garbage in each unit. If there are 145 units, the yardage needed to be picked up per month is 203,
then restaurant waste can be added (for example 6,000 Ibs in one month from 100 meals produced per
day, equals 40 yards) and the number is still well below the aforementioned 1,000 yards.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us to discuss.
Thank you,
David Perez
WastePro USA
Regional Sales Manager
954-668-6100
64
