Mabel Villazon is a professional and focused CAD Manager with six years of experience. She has
acquired managerial skills by leading CAD teams and has experience in engineering design and quality
control/assurance. Her project experience includes stormwater, drainage, water distribution, and
sanitary sewage collection systems, pump/lift stations, roadways, and neighborhood improvement
projects. Mabel has strong organizational and prioritization abilities and is detail-oriented. She has
experience drafting civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems related to civil
infrastructure and vertical building projects, hydraulic modeling, designing of Maintenance of Traffic
Control Plans and Signing and Pavement Marking Plans, taking site measurements and creating as-
built drawings, Civil and MEP drafting in AutoCAD and Revit, and preparing drawings for permitting.
Miami Beach Integrated Water Master Plan CSC Task Order: First Street Neighborhood Improvement
Project, Miami Beach, FL: CAD Manager supporting integrated engineering design services for a
new stormwater pump station and stormwater treatment facility to serve the South of Fifth/South
Pointe Neighborhood, including improvements to storm drainage, potable water, wastewater, road
raising, and streetscaping.
NE 191st Street Drainage & Roadway Improvements, Aventura, FL: CAD Manager assisting with
engineering design for the hardening and flood mitigation of the NE 191st Street system, a low-
lying area prone to recurrent flooding due to sea level rise and storm events. The project includes
stormwater infrastructure improvements, roadway elevation adjustments, and resilience measures
to enhance mobility, safety, and long-term sustainability. Key project components include the
development of a new stormwater collection system, hydraulic modeling, roadway hardening
through elevation adjustments, and coordination with existing utilities. The project also integrates
water quality infrastructure, traffic signal upgrades, and public engagement efforts to ensure
alignment with community needs.
City of Cooper City, SW 49th Street Culvert Replacement Design-Build, Cooper City, FL: CAD
Manager. The JVA-CES Design-Build team is providing design, permitting, construction, and
restoration services, including embankment stabilization, roadway reconstruction, and utility
coordination for this project that replaces the failing single 15-foot-diameter corrugated metal
culvert at the C-11S Canal with a new aluminum corrugated metal pipe (CMP) culvert.
MDWASD Engineering, Design and Related Services for the Local Pump Station Improvement
Program, Miami-Dade County, FL: CAD Manager assisting in the inspection/evaluation, analysis and
design of sanitary sewer lift stations ranging from 20 HP to 60 HP and associated force mains. The
challenges found in designing these upgrades relate to two items. First, meeting the FEMA Base
Flood Elevation for some of these small locations while maintaining operations and maintenance
protocols is a challenge. Under this contract, we have converted several wet well/dry well systems
into submersible stations. These conversions are requiring significant structural design to reuse the
existing facilities. This effort is more cost effective than installing a new wet well. The pump stations
she has worked on include PS0132.
MDWASD Aventura Force Main Project, Aventura, FL: Lead CAD Designer for the design of
approximate 6,015 LF PVC C900 of 12 and 16-inch diameter force main to be installed via open
cut and 2,985 LF HDPE to be installed via slip lining method to cause minimal disruption to above
ground facilities and vehicle traffic. The project also included design of bypass connections to avoid
pump station shut down.
