<br />repair of the Brickell Key Bridge to enhance and improve public safety along SE 8th St./Brickell Key
<br />Drive. Scope includes the removal of the epoxy layer overlay; deck repairs; removal of sidewalk tiles
<br />and concrete restoration; sidewalks widening; replacement of expansion joints; installing ADA plates
<br />on all sidewalk expansion joints; restoration of asphalt pavement at approach slabs; restoration of
<br />spalled areas and injection and sealing of cracks; repair of damaged prestressed beams; repair of
<br />bearing plates and anchor bolts; installation of pile jackets; and seawall repair abutting the bridge.
<br />FDOT D4, SR AIA Mobility Improvements Project, FM# 441360-1-52-01, Broward County, FL: Senior
<br />Roadway Inspector. Project limits for this $6.3M, 3.5 mile project consist of SR A1A from Southern
<br />Town Limit of Hillsboro Beach to Southeast 3rd Street. Project improvements include milling and
<br />resurfacing the existing travel lanes, widening the roadway to accommodate designated bike lanes,
<br />adding a sidewalk along the west side of the roadway between Opal Towers and SE 10th Street,
<br />upgrading existing mid-block pedestrian crossings with Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon Signs,
<br />raising the roadway elevation from 900 Hillsboro Mile to south of Le Baron Apartments.
<br />F DOT D4, NW 21st Ave. from Oakland Park Blvd. to Commercial Blvd., Broward County, FL: Senior
<br />Roadway Inspector. This $8M project included the 1.5-mile roadway widening of NW 21st Avenue to
<br />accommodate 5-foot buffered bike lanes in each direction; replacement of the bridge over the C-13
<br />canal; milling & resurfacing; sidewalk replacement; new signalized intersections; and miscellaneous
<br />signage; paving; curb & gutter; and driveway harmonization.
<br />FDOT D4, NW 19th Street From SR441 to Power Line Road, Broward County, FL: Senior Roadway
<br />Inspector for this project to widen the road for installation of 4’ wide bike lanes in both directions
<br />east- and west-bound. List of activities included both major roadway and structural components
<br />such as: installation of several drainage structures, running drainage aluminum pipes, replacing all
<br />existing road signs, replacing several lighting fixtures, and installing one light pole. Reconstruct 1500’
<br />of sidewalk and all medians along the corridor, pavement reconstruction and landscape activities.
<br />School Zone Flasher Improvements Projects, Broward County, FL: Senior Roadway Inspector
<br />for Project No.’s: 9921-69, 9921-90, 9921-95, 9921-97, 9921-113, 9921-114. Improvements included
<br />installing new electrical service wire, aluminum signal pole, new sidewalk, signage, sign beacons,
<br />and thermoplastic pavement markings. Walter was in charge of inspecting all aspects of construction.
<br />FDOT D6, Krome Ave. from US-27, Miami-Dade County, FL: Senior Roadway Inspector. This project
<br />widens the road from a two-lane undivided road to a four-lane divided roadway. Activities included
<br />both major roadway and structural components such as: installation of several drainage structures,
<br />running French drain and regular drainage aluminum pipes, replacing several highway signs and
<br />assisting with installation of lighting system, pavement reconstruction, and landscape activities.
