<br />Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department (MDWASD), Ocean Outfall Legislation Program
<br />Management & Inspection Services, Miami-Dade County, FL: Senior Construction Inspector. The
<br />Ocean Outfall Legislation Program is a $3.3B 11-year program with 28 capital projects, the culmination
<br />of a 2008 regulatory mandate by the Florida Legislature to stop all wastewater discharge to the
<br />ocean by 2025. As a result of this mandate, WASD is implementing system-wide wastewater facility
<br />upgrades through the OOL program across the county.
<br />MDWASD Consent Decree Project 3.02(2), NDWWTP Rehabilitation of Primary Clarifiers Number 1,
<br />2, 3 & 4, Miami, FL: Construction Inspector. This $50M project included removal and replacement of all
<br />mechanical equipment inside the clarifier including center column, skimmer and scraper arms, weirs
<br />and baffles, removal and rehabilitation of coating system inside the tanks, removal and replacement
<br />of clarifier cover lids, removal and replacement of odor control system including scrubbers, pumps
<br />and the construction of a new NaOH facility building, rehabilitation of sludge pump stations, and
<br />rehabilitation of system piping, valves and slice gates, among others.
<br />MDWASD Consent Decree Project 5.09, Upgrades to Pump Station 0301 (350 Sunny Isles Blvd.),
<br />Sunny Isles Beach, FL: Construction Inspector for this $9M project involving construction of a new
<br />electrical building and wet well, along with full demolition and replacement of existing pump station
<br />infrastructure. Work included installation of mechanical systems such as pumps, piping, valves, and
<br />flow meters; electrical systems including VFDs, switchgear, MCCs, RTUs, transformers, generators,
<br />and motors; and associated improvements such as large-diameter sewer and force mains, manholes,
<br />odor control systems, fuel storage, and site rehabilitation. Responsibilities included oversight of
<br />contractor activities, verification of materials and workmanship, daily reporting and deficiency
<br />tracking, coordination with the project team and stakeholders, and review of change documentation
<br />and pay applications to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
<br />Underground Duct Banks & Fiber Assemblies, PR: Construction Inspector responsible for leading
<br />quality inspections, including in-process and final inspections of underground duct bank and fiber
<br />assembly installations. Maintained and updated as-built drawings, prepared detailed daily reports,
<br />and developed punch lists to verify proper restoration and compliance with project requirements.
<br />Coordinated planning and monitoring of activities across the project lifecycle, managed resources,
<br />resolved quality issues, identified schedule impacts and specification changes, and maintained
<br />comprehensive project documentation and communication records.
