<br />Services Contract, STOF Reservations, FL: Sr. Construction Engineering Inspector for CEI services
<br />through a multi-year continuing services contract. Work includes coordinating inspection activities
<br />from Notice to Proceed through Final Completion for each task order and daily on-site, full time
<br />inspection to determine compliance with contract documents, approved submittals, shop drawings,
<br />and permits. Duties also include verification that contractor initiates, maintains, and supervises all
<br />safety precautions and programs; maintenance of job site records and permits; project reporting;
<br />evaluation and approval of contractor’s payment and procedures; change order review and
<br />approval; providing interpretations of contract documents; reviewing and responding to contractor’s
<br />substitution requests; coordinating record drawings with the contractor; and project punch list
<br />coordination, including advising on payments, partial release of retention, final payment, release of
<br />retention, and release of insurance and bonds.
<br />SFWMD CPM/CEI for Homestead Field Station, Phase 1, Homestead, FL: Construction Engineering
<br />Inspector/Construction Manager for Phase 1 of the Homestead Field Station Building Replacement
<br />Design-Build project. This project consists of the demolition of three existing buildings (B-230, B-96
<br />and B-33) and the construction of replacement buildings totaling 17,802 SF at the Homestead Field
<br />Station. The new buildings include office space, fleet service bays, structure maintenance service
<br />bays, storage areas for land management and canal levee, emergency generator and generator
<br />room, restrooms, locker rooms, asphalt restoration, abandonment of existing facility septic tanks
<br />and connection to city sewer including construction of a lift station, and new fuel tanks and fuel
<br />dispensing pumps. Site development includes drainage and stormwater accommodations and a
<br />stormwater retention pond. 2023 Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) Florida Region Merit
<br />Award – Federal, State, County, Municipal.
<br />Miscellaneous Water, Sewer and Drainage Projects, South Florida: Construction Manager/
<br />Construction Engineering Inspector of numerous water, sewer and drainage projects throughout
<br />South Florida. Responsible for quality assurance inspections of daily construction activities to ensure
<br />compliance with plans, codes and permitting. Coordinated RFIs, submittals, payment requisitions
<br />and construction activities with the owners, design professionals and contractors. Coordinated
<br />owner approval and strict contractor compliance with the maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans for
<br />the projects.
<br />Miscellaneous Building Inspection Projects, Miami, FL: Construction Inspector responsible for
<br />the inspection of commercial and residential buildings, identifying and reporting structural and
<br />other deficiencies found in the systems and components of buildings and related structures. Scope
<br />included MEP systems, fire proofing, structural scope, and verifying strict contractor compliance
<br />with plans, specifications, permits, codes, quality and safety plans.
