The <br />project replaced approximately 1,400 LF of 4-inch DIP and 750 <br />LF of 4-inch PVC pipe that had reached the end of their useful <br />life. The proposed force main connected to Lift Station 95 at <br />the north end. The existing valve near Lift Station 95 was also <br />replaced as part of this project. The southern portion of the <br />project connected to a future stub out that was constructed as <br />part of the Hood Road Force Main Replacement project at the <br />south end of the project near Lift Station 88. The force main for <br />the portion of the project running north and south was installed <br />via HDD method. The portion of the project running east and <br />west up until the connection to Lift Station 95 was installed via <br />open cut method. The existing 4-inch force main was abandoned <br />in place and grouted if the pipe condition allowed. <br />PGA Boulevard and Ellison Wilson Road Force Main <br />Improvements, Palm Beach Gardens, FL: The project included <br />civil engineering, surveying, subsurface utility locating (SUE), <br />and geotechnical engineering for the design and permitting of <br />approximately 1,350 LF of 10-inch HDPE force main installed <br />via HDD and open-cut along Ellison Wilson Road in Palm Beach <br />Gardens. The alignment was refined to relocate the tie-in <br />east of PGA Boulevard and maintain the route entirely within <br />the roadway right-of-way, replacing the previous design that <br />connected through the Seasons 52 parking lot. The work also included a short 8-inch HDPE segment and modifications to the <br />existing reclaimed water main to accommodate the new force main connection. Delivered as design-bid-build, the project improved <br />constructability, minimized conflicts, and enhanced long-term system reliability. <br />Central Boulevard Water Main Offset, Palm Beach Gardens, FL: <br />CES provided permitting support and design services. Project <br />involved approximately 35 LF of 16-inch DIP water main near <br />the intersection of PGA Boulevard and Central Boulevard. The <br />offset was required to avoid conflicts with a proposed drainage <br />structure as part of Palm Beach County’s roadway widening <br />project. Work included deflecting the existing water main and <br />raising an adjacent air release valve (ARV) manhole to meet <br />the new grade elevation. CES supported by assisting with the <br />permitting process and preparing cost estimates associated <br />with the utility modifications. <br />Lake Park 8A Neighborhood Improvements, Lake Park, FL: This phase of the Lake Park water main replacement program includes <br />civil engineering for the design and permitting of approximately 5,708 LF of 6-inch and 1,200 LF of 12-inch DIP water mains to <br />replace aging asbestos cement pipe and enhance fire protection within the 8A section of the neighborhood. The project features <br />open-cut installation, new connections at Poplar Drive and Northern Drive, and relocation of water meters behind sidewalks adjacent <br />to property lines. Additional scope included topographic survey, Level A and B utility mapping, air vacuum excavation test holes, <br />public outreach coordination, permitting, bidding support, and limited construction-phase services to support SUA’s long-term <br />system reliability goals.
