The work includes surveying, SUE, and
geotechnical engineering to support open-cut installation, new connections at
Magnolia, Laurel, W Kalmia, and W Jasmine Drives, and targeted PVC lateral
upgrades where conflicts with existing clay sewer laterals occur. Additional
services include water meter relocations, topographic mapping, Level A and
B utility designations, air vacuum excavation test holes, public outreach, and
limited construction-phase coordination, all in support of SUA’s long-term
system reliability goals.
Lake Park 5C Neighborhood Improvements, Lake Park, FL: CES is providing
professional engineering services, which addresses the replacement of aging
asbestos cement water mains and upgrades the fire protection systems
throughout the neighborhood south of Park Avenue and west of US-1. The
project includes design and permitting of approximately 16,075 LF of 6-inch and
4,685 LF of 8-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) water mains. CES is also coordinating
topographic surveying, utility conflict identification, and geotechnical
investigations to support constructible design solutions. The work includes new
water main installations, replacement or relocation of laterals and cleanouts,
and relocation of water meters to improve accessibility and reliability. CES is
responsible for preparing construction documents, managing permitting with
Palm Beach County and the Town of Lake Park, and providing bidding and
engineering support during construction.
Gardens Professional Center Water Main Loop, Palm Beach Gardens, FL: CES
is providing professional engineering services for the design of approximately
300 LF of 6-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) water main along Military Trail. The new
main will be connected to an existing 8-inch DIP water main and installed via
open-cut method to improve system capacity and reliability. CES is preparing
detailed design documents at the 30%, 60%, 90%, and 100% phases, along with
permitting support with Palm Beach County Health Department and FDOT, and
coordination with SUA and other utilities.
