Fernandez, PE <br />TRAFFIC IMPACT STUDIES <br />Darlene’s experience includes the following: <br />Aventura Chabad Traffic Impact Study, Aventura, FL: Project Manager/Senior Engineer. Completed <br />the traffic impact statement for a new development located at the northeast corner of Biscayne <br />Boulevard and NE 210th Street. The existing land use was previously developed with an 11,255 SF <br />synagogue. The proposed development will include 113,870 SF of office space, a 44,493 SF synagogue <br />building, a 2,701 SF walk-in bank, and a 4,362 SF preschool. For the purpose of this study, the <br />analysis included traffic circulation, trip distribution and traffic assignment, impact determination of <br />existing roadway network, queuing analysis (preschool), and parking analysis summary. <br />6372 Collins Avenue Traffic Impact Study, Miami Beach, FL: Project Manager/Senior Engineer. <br />Conducted a traffic impact study for a proposed development with 19 residential units for the developer. <br />The existing land use consisted of four residential units. The analysis included a determination of <br />the impact based on trip generation, a site visit, on-site and off-site traffic circulation, including <br />signage and striping, evaluation of the sight distance triangle at the driveway, and evaluated the <br />trip distribution and traffic assignment based on the proposed circulation. An auto turn analysis was <br />also analyzed for the accommodation of a loading zone within the property. Different alternatives <br />were evaluated including changes to the site circulation to determine whether a loading zone <br />can be accommodated. Responsible for all aspects of this study including implementation and <br />preparation of technical memorandum, attendance at presentations and Planning Board meetings, <br />and coordination with client and the City of Miami Beach.
