RFQ # 26-07-01 | CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH 88 <br />CES CONSULTANTS, INC. <br />The project’s objectives were: to update the facilities to meet <br />growing operational needs, meeting all federal, state, and local <br />codes (fire, hurricane, ADA, etc.); to allow for maintenance <br />and storage of 60-foot articulated buses; to rebuild the site <br />to accommodate up to 50 additional public transportation <br />vehicles; and to construct a 50,000 SF Maintenance Building, <br />Fuel and Wash Buildings, an Operations Facility, and a three- <br />story Parking Garage with approximately 250 spaces. Also included in the scope were complete <br />site work improvements, to include lighting, landscaping, underground utilities, drainage, and <br />underground storage tanks. <br />The construction of the new facility required a carefully designed phasing plan to address not only <br />the demolition of existing structures, but the construction of the new structures while maintaining <br />daily operations, 24/7. The design included temporary facilities to accommodate some of the various <br />functions on site.
