Similar to a
camera but much more detailed, laser scanning involves the capture of digital information that can be processed
into point cloud data and used by a variety of software platforms such as AutoCAD and Revit. The benefits
of laser scanning include the ability to obtain large amounts of survey data in a non-contact environment.
CGA is using this methodology and a Trimble X7 Laser Scanner to capture survey data of building facades for
hurricane hardening applications. Multiple 3D scans are taken around a building from ground level to the roof
and processed into an overall point cloud, which enables the end user to measure window/door openings,
structural columns, roof overhangs, facia and soffits.
Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc.
A SAFEbuilt Company
City of Sunny Isles Beach, FL | RFQ # 26-07-01 | Continuing Professional Architectural and Engineering Consulting Services (CCNA) | 12
Below, we present short descriptions that demonstrate our qualifications for each discipline upon which we are bidding, as well as the required
services we are providing in-house.
Landscape Architects
CGA brings extensive experience in the full lifecycle of design implementation—from initial concept development
through design refinement and into construction execution.
