Therefore, the proposed improvements to this highly used 24-acre soccer park,
include the removal of the old existing parking lot, expansion and renovation of the new City-
owned parking lot, two (2) new Parks & Recreation buildings, and re-grading of the site to
accommodate six (6) natural grass soccer fields, one (1) main synthetic turf soccer field, and
one (1) synthetic turf goalie practice area, as well as extensive sidewalk, lighting, and drainage
improvements throughout the site.
Some additional unique design features of the park include brick columns and an arched
entryway into the park, an open-air pavilion for trophy presentations and special events,
and a new, electronic messaging board and monument sign along Pine Island Road. CGA
provided surveying, site planning, civil engineering, electrical engineering, landscape design,
and irrigation design services for the project, as well as permitting, CEI, and construction
administration.
The park improvements were completed in June 2022.
PINE ISLAND PARK - RECONSTRUCTION
Plantation, FL
