The study evaluated the operational impacts of the <br />proposed expansion under existing, future no-build, and future build conditions through <br />the anticipated project completion in 2030. <br />The analysis included eight (8) study intersections and four (4) roadway segments <br />surrounding the hospital campus. Operational evaluations were performed using Synchro <br />11 software in accordance with the methodologies of the 2010 Highway Capacity Manual <br />(HCM) and the City of Hollywood’s requirements. The study included the collection of 24- <br />hour turning movement counts, signal timing and phasing information, and field reviews <br />of roadway geometry, lane configurations, pavement markings, and signage. <br />The study evaluated the traffic impacts associated with approximately 2,258 additional <br />daily trips generated by the project and developed operational improvements to mitigate <br />identified deficiencies. Recommendations included intersection optimization, turn lane <br />modifications, signal timing improvements, traffic control enhancements, and corridor <br />operational improvements to maintain acceptable Levels of Service (LOS) throughout the <br />study network. <br />MEMORIAL REGIONAL HOSPITAL EXPANSION <br />TRAFFIC STUDY <br />Hollywood, FL
