His forensic engineering expertise is focused on the evaluation of subsidence <br />related damage to structures, earthen slope and retaining wall failures, construction vibration damage, and <br />pavement failures. His geotechnical engineering design expertise encompasses sinkhole risk assessment and <br />mitigation, shallow and deep foundation design, pavement design, slope stability analyses, and site suitability <br />studies. Steven serves project teams under multiple roles depending on project location and needs. <br />Geotechnical Engineering <br />FKAA Bay Point WWTF Decommissioning <br />Geotechnical Engineering Lead, Senior <br />Geotechnical Engineer (Engineer of Record) | <br />Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority | Lower Keys, FL | <br />July 2025 - Present <br />GHD was selected for professional engineering services <br />to support the decommissioning of the Bay Point <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The project <br />includes converting the existing facility into a pump <br />station and equalization facility, and installing <br />approximately 9,300 linear feet of a new 3-inch force <br />main to re-route flows to Lower Sugarloaf Key. As part of <br />the design phase services for the proposed horizontal <br />direction drilling (HDD) path, Mr. Janosik’s team <br />performed subsurface investigations (SPT borings with <br />timed drilling), laboratory testing of soils (index <br />properties), groundwater measurements, and <br />coordination with the GHD design team. Mr. Janosik <br />prepared soil parameters and geotechnical <br />recommendations for the HDD design, along with <br />subgrade preparation recommendations and <br />construction considerations. Following 35% design <br />review, Mr. Janosik will be finalizing the geotechnical <br />report and submitting as Geotechnical Engineer of <br />Record. <br />A GHD Principal <br />Colliers Engineering & Design   35
