He specializes in the design of marine facilities, shoreline <br />stabilization and coastal structures. Jason is also proficient in the application <br />of numerical models, including the Danish Hydraulics Institute (DHI) MIKE-21 <br />suite of numerical modeling tools, structural analysis tools and Federal State <br />and Local design codes. In addition to his professional achievements, Jason <br />presently serves on the non-profit Board for Bill Baggs Cape Florida State <br />Park. <br />RELEVANT PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br />Sunny Isles Coastal Analysis, Sunny Isles, Florida. Assessment of local <br />sediment transport characteristics and potential shoreline stabilization <br />along Sunny Isles Beach. An evaluation of nearshore coastal processes and <br />sediment transport characteristics in the project vicinity was completed. <br />Based on this assessment, a beach management plan was developed for <br />long-term beach planning. <br />Winston Tower 700, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Construction of 240 LF of <br />seawall and repair of 800 LF of seawall for shoreline stabilization at large <br />condominium. Included above and below-water condition inspections, seawall <br />replacement and repair design, permit applications and processing (DERM/ <br />USACE/FDEP), and construction administration. <br />Dade Boulevard/Collins Canal Shoreline Stabilization & Seawall <br />Replacement, Miami Beach, Florida. Marine engineering and construction <br />drawings for 2,670 LF of shoreline stabilization associated with a linear park <br />and bike path. Structural design includes steel sheet pile and a reinforced <br />concrete cap, including barrier wall connection, and utility crossovers for FPL <br />69KV oil-filled transmission line. <br />I-395 Baywalk & Pedestrian Bridge, Miami, Florida. Principal engineer <br />overseeing coastal engineering analysis for the design of the I-395 Pedestrian <br />Baywalk Bridge project, which will provide connect bicycles and pedestrians <br />from the Maurice Ferre Park, through the Perez Art Museum Miami and Frost <br />Museum to NE/NW 14th Street along the Biscayne Bay waterfront. Jason <br />established design criteria used to develop a basis for conceptual design <br />alternatives and assisted in the preparation of public outreach, facilitated <br />stakeholder meetings with City commissioner, property owners, and <br />community members. <br />14th Street End Seawall Project, Miami Beach, Florida. Marine engineering <br />for a new seawall in association with street-end and stormwater pump station <br />improvements. The seawall was constructed at an increased design elevation <br />using concrete piles and panels with a reinforced concrete cap, and includes <br />an opening for outfall.
