Services: <br />References: <br />Start Date: <br />Completion Date: <br />Project Budget: <br />C+R Contract Fees: <br />Southwest Streetscape & Street Tree Master PlanMiami, FL <br />Curtis + Rogers was retained by the City of Miami to develop the <br />Southwest Streetscape and Street Tree Master Plan, a comprehensive <br />framework for strengthening the resilience, environmental performance, <br />and identity of the city’s public realm. Leading the collaboration with <br />LOLA (Local office of Landscape Architects), BCC Engineering, and <br />ESciences, the team evaluated existing natural resources, greening <br />inititatives, and infrastructure projects to identify strategies for <br />creating more sustainable and climate-responsive streets. <br />The plan establishes a roadmap for addressing sea level rise, <br />urban heat, stormwater management, and long-term urban forest <br />sustainability through strategic tree planting, native landscape <br />enhancements, and integrated green infrastructure. Recommendations <br />focus on expanding the urban canopy to improve shade and thermal <br />comfort, enhancing neighborhood character and sense of place, <br />improving air and water quality, and creating safer, more attractive <br />routes for pedestrians and cyclists.
