3. Staffing <br />Ronald Schults, P.E. | CEO <br />Ronald E. Schults, PE, is Chief Executive Officer of Edgewater Group LLC <br />and is widely recognized as one of the leading experts in marina and <br />waterfront development worldwide. With more than four decades of <br />experience, Ron has led the planning, engineering, and development of <br />more than 300 waterfront and marina projects across the United States and <br />internationally. His work integrates coastal engineering, marina planning, <br />real estate development, and economic strategy to create sustainable <br />waterfront destinations that support long-term community growth. <br /> <br />Ron founded The Abonmarche Group in 1979 and developed one of the <br />industry’s leading waterfront engineering and planning practices. In 2020 he <br />co-founded Edgewater Resources to continue advancing innovative waterfront <br />and marina design, and in 2022 founded Edgewater Group LLC in Florida to <br />expand professional engineering, marina planning, civil engineering, and <br />landscape architecture services throughout the southeastern United States. <br /> <br />In addition to his engineering leadership, Ron has personally developed <br />and financed multiple successful waterfront projects valued in excess of <br />$150 million, giving him unique insight into the financial, regulatory, and <br />operational realities of large-scale waterfront development. Edgewater Group has been involved since <br />project inception, providing feasibility analysis, permitting, engineering design, <br />bidding support, and construction administration. Erik led permit coordination, <br />preliminary and final engineering design, construction document preparation, <br />bid support, contract negotiations, and construction oversight for the project’s <br />226-slip marina and waterfront promenade, which are currently under <br />construction. <br />Navy Pier Marina (Chicago, IL) <br />Ron served as principal engineer for the development of a transient marina <br />located along the northern edge of Navy Pier in downtown Chicago. The <br />marina includes approximately 132 slips ranging from 26 to more than 100 feet <br />and provides transient boaters with direct access to downtown Chicago and <br />Lake Michigan destinations. <br />ONE°15 Brooklyn Marina (Brooklyn, NY) <br />Ron served as principal engineer for the design and development of ONE°15 <br />Brooklyn Marina in New York Harbor. The project transformed a former industrial <br />pier into a high-end marina facility capable of accommodating vessels from <br />small sailing dinghies to 200-foot megayachts while coordinating closely with <br />surrounding public park infrastructure. <br />19RFQ #26-07-01 Edgewater Group
