<br />Highlighted Project Experience
<br />City of Leesburg, Leesburg Gas Department Renovation, Tavares, FL: Forefront AE is providing full architectural and engineering services for the remodel (~3,850 SF) and expansion (~3,200 SF) of the City’s Gas Department Operations Center. The project includes programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and permitting support. Responsibilities include coordination across architectural, civil, structural, MEP, and fire protection disciplines to deliver permit-ready construction documents.
<br />City of Kissimmee, Haven on Vine Affordable Housing Initiative, Kissimmee, FL: As Project Manager, Minel oversees the design and redevelopment of the Haven on Vine project, transforming a former Super 8 Motel into a mixed-use affordable housing complex with 123 units serving low-, very low-, and moderate-income residents, including emergency housing. The project is being completed in multiple phases focused on housing conversion, infrastructure upgrades, and community enhancements: Phase 1A converts 43 hotel rooms into efficiency apartments with updated electrical and plumbing systems; Phase 1B enhances the facades of ten fourplex buildings with structural and energy-efficient improvements; Phase 2A adds 40 efficiency apartments, renovates the commercial laundry facility, and upgrades exterior facades and utilities; and Phase 2B repurposes a utility building into a resident fitness center.
<br />Lake County, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Fleet and Logistics Relocation, Lake County, FL: Minel served as supporting project manager on getting CAD team of technicians to commence design development of plans during initial phase. Lake County is relocating their fleet services at a single campus. Forefront has been tasked with modification to an existing garage to accommodate the added services. Also, the project includes a new addition to another campus building. Our role involves architectural, structural, and MEP services to facilitate Lake County’s EMS operations’ move to the existing Fleet Services location. The Phase 1 expansion now spans 48,000 square feet, with a budget of $2.4 million.
<br />Schar Holdings, Inc., JW Marriot Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa, Orlando, FL: Minel served as lead project manager and CAD designer/drafter on this project. This project entailed the renovation of a recreational area to include: the removal of an existing splash pad, reinstallation of a slab with pavers to match existing aesthetics, installation of new prefabricated cabanas, and integration of electrical outlets.
