As many as eight unattended vibration <br />monitors were used at the project site to monitor existing <br />structures in accordance with the Florida Department of <br />Transportation (FDOT) specification standard Section 108 – <br />Monitor Existing Structures. <br />USACE Shore Protection Project, Mid and South <br />Reaches Renourishment 2023, Brevard County, FL: <br />Structural Inspection/Evaluation Engineer (SI/EE) responsible <br />for managing pre- and post-construction structure inspections <br />and implementation of the Vibration Control Program <br />in accordance with USACE (Jacksonville District) project <br />specifications. The Vibration Control Program involved <br />structural inspections and vibration measurements for as <br />many as 300 buildings adjacent to the beach renourishment <br />project. Also served in role as Vibration Control Specialist – <br />Alternate and developed the Vibration Control Plan for the <br />project, utilizing as many as 23 vibration monitors during <br />beachfill construction activities. <br />USACE FY23 Murrells Inlet Maintenance Dredging, <br />Georgetown County, SC: Structural Inspection/ <br />Evaluation Engineer (SI/EE) responsible for managing <br />pre- and post-construction structure inspections. Vibration <br />Control Specialist (VCS) responsible for implementation <br />of the Vibration Control Program and development of the <br />Vibration Control Plan. Structure surveys and instrumentation <br />monitoring were in accordance with USACE (Charleston <br />District) specifications for the project. The Vibration Control <br />Program involved structural inspections and vibration <br />measurements at as many as 120 buildings adjacent to beach <br />renourishment project. <br />USACE Tampa Harbor Maintenance Dredging, <br />Egmont and Mullet Key Channel Cuts, Hillsborough <br />County, FL: Structural Inspection/Evaluation Engineer (SI/ <br />EE) responsible for managing pre- and post-construction <br />structure inspections, and development and implementation <br />of the Vibration Control Program in accordance with USACE <br />(Jacksonville District) project specifications. The Vibration <br />Control Program involved structure inspections and vibration <br />measurements at historic park structures adjacent to the <br />Egmont Key beachfill template. <br />USACE Big Fishweir Creek Aquatic Ecosystem <br />Restoration Project, Duval County, FL: Structural <br />Inspection/Evaluation Engineer (SI/EE) responsible for <br />managing pre- and post-construction structure inspections, <br />as well as development and implementation of the Vibration <br />Control Program, in accordance with USACE (Jacksonville <br />District) project specifications. The Vibration Control Program <br />involved structural inspections and vibration measurements <br />at several waterside residences and seawall structures <br />adjacent to the dredge cut. <br />Hurricanes Matthew & Irma FEMA Berm Restoration <br />Project, St. Johns County, FL: Principal Engineer <br />responsible for managing pre-construction structure <br />inspections and implementation of the Vibration Control <br />Program involving structural inspections and vibration <br />measurements at buildings adjacent to the truck-haul berm <br />restoration project. Structure inspections and Vibration <br />Control Program were conducted in accordance with <br />requirements of St. Johns County (Owner). <br />Indian Creek Seawall Replacement Project, City <br />of Miami Beach, FL: Project Manager and Professional <br />Engineer responsible for developing a vibration monitoring <br />plan (VMP) and performing pre-construction structural <br />surveys for replacement of the existing seawall on the east <br />side of Indian Creek from the 41st Street Bridge south to 26th <br />Street in the City of Miami Beach. Pre-construction surveys <br />were performed on adjacent commercial and residential <br />structures using digital still imagery. The VMP included <br />vibration measurements at the structures adjacent to the <br />project for determining compliance with specified vibration <br />limits established for the project to minimize the potential <br />for vibration damage and defense of claims should they arise <br />using remote acquisition for vibration monitoring. <br />USACE Shore Protection Project, Segment III Beach <br />Renourishment 2020-2021, Broward County, FL: <br />Approved Structural Inspection/Evaluation Engineer <br />responsible for managing pre-construction structure <br />inspections and implementation of the Vibration Control <br />Program in accordance with USACE (Jacksonville District) <br />project specifications. The Vibration Control Program involved <br />structural inspections and vibration measurements at <br />buildings adjacent to beach renourishment project. <br />FDOT SR-822/Sheridan Street Over Intracoastal <br />Waterway Bridge, Broward County, FL: Project Manager <br />and Principal Engineer responsible for the implementation of <br />the Monitor Existing Structures Program in accordance with <br />Florida Department of Transportation standard specification <br />Section 108. Pre-construction surveys were performed on the <br />existing Sheridan Street bascule bridge and adjacent civil and <br />municipal structures using digital still imagery. The Vibration <br />and Settlement Monitoring Program (VSMP) involved <br />vibration measurements at the mast arm of the existing <br />bridge during sheet pile driving operations to determine <br />compliance with specified vibration limits established for <br />the project to minimize the potential for vibration damage <br />using remote acquisition for vibration monitoring. The VSMP <br />also included monitoring relative movement of the existing <br />bridge and adjacent structures using a remote Automated <br />Motorized Total Station (AMTS) survey system to confirm that <br />structure movements are limited to within the FDOT section <br />108 criteria. <br />USACE Beach Erosion Control and Hurricane <br />Protection Project, Beach Renourishment – Bal <br />Harbor 2021 and 2025, Miami-Dade County, FL: <br />Approved Structural Inspection/Evaluation Engineer <br />responsible for managing pre-construction structure <br />inspections, as well as development and implementation <br />of the Vibration Control Program in accordance with USACE <br />(Jacksonville District) project specifications.
