<br />ST. AUGUSTINE AVENIDA MENENDEZ SEAWALL FLOOD BARRIER PHASE
<br />1, ST. AUGUSTINE, FL — Environmental Scientist. Led planning, permitting,
<br />design, bid document preparation, and bidding support for the reinforcement
<br />and replacement of the historic Avenida Menendez seawall in St. Augustine. The
<br />project improved coastal resilience and flood protection against 100-year storm
<br />events while safeguarding the City’s historic bayfront and significant cultural and
<br />heritage assets.
<br />MERCY HOSPITAL SEAWALL AND LOADING DOCK REPLACEMENT,
<br />MIAMI, FL — Environmental Scientist. This project included strengthening
<br />of 2,000 feet of seawall along the perimeter of Mercy Hospital’s property in
<br />Miami. The design and construction tasks for this project include steel sheetpile
<br />installation, tie rod installation between existing wall and new wall, concrete cap
<br />placement, backfill, and site grading. This project also included the construction
<br />of a new landing dock for rescue vessels adjacent to the seawall. Kimley-Horn
<br />provided design, planning, bidding, permitting, and construction phase services
<br />for this $4 million project.
<br />MCNAB ROAD OVER CYPRESS CREEK (C-14) BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
<br />AND TERRA MAR DRIVE OVER SPANISH RIVER BRIDGE REHABILITATION
<br />PROJECTS, POMPANO BEACH, FL — Environmental Scientist. Kimley-Horn
<br />is currently serving the City of Pompano Beach to provide design and consulting
<br />services for two separate bridge projects within the City as part of the current G.O.
<br />Bond. The project at McNab Road includes the full replacement of the existing
<br />bridge and relocation of existing utilities. The proposed bridge will incorporate
<br />aesthetic features appropriate to the surrounding areas. Kimley-Horn is leading
<br />permitting of this project, including USCG, SFWMD, and Broward County.
<br />MADELEINE VILLAS ON CRESPI BOULEVARD FOR CITY OF MIAMI
<br />BEACH, MIAMI BEACH, FL — Environmental Scientist. Provided seawall
<br />evaluation, reconstruction design, permitting, and construction document
<br />preparation for a city-owned housing development. Services included seagrass
<br />surveys, underwater inspections, and multi-agency permitting. The project
<br />required innovative design solutions to address limited site access and
<br />constructability constraints between two low-clearance bridges.
<br />DANIA BEACH MARINA REDEVELOPMENT AND EXPANSION, DANIA
<br />BEACH, FL — Environmental Scientist. Kimley-Horn provided civil engineering
<br />consulting services for the redevelopment and replacement of an existing
<br />marina, addition of general retail and restaurant facilities, condo buildings,
<br />and replacement of the seawall. This included civil due diligence and an
<br />environmental review of existing reports and maps of the area. Additional
<br />services included regulatory permitting, offsite regulatory permitting, park
<br />landscape assistance, and additional drainage design among other tasks.
