measurements, and coordinating scan coverage to ensure complete and accurate documentation of the project area.
The project included performing a 3D laser scan of a portion of the interior of PS001 within the defined survey limits.
Elevation data was referenced to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD29), and the scanning documented
visible piping, equipment, walls, walkway openings, and other structural features to support engineering design, facility
documentation, and project planning.
RRR at 71st AVE from McNab to Southgate City of North Lauderdale, North Lauderdale, FL
Manuel Lorenzo served as the UAS Photogrammetry and Geospatial Mapping Specialist, supporting aerial data
acquisition, geospatial mapping, and photogrammetric processing for the project. His responsibilities included planning
and coordinating UAS survey operations, establishing and verifying survey control, collecting high-resolution aerial
imagery using a DJI Matrice 300 RTK, and verifying data quality to ensure accurate mapping products. The project
consisted of an aerial photogrammetry survey along Southwest 71 Avenue from West McNab Road to Southgate
Boulevard in North Lauderdale, Florida. Survey data was geo-referenced to the Florida State Plane Coordinate System
(NAD83/2011) and used to depict rights-of-way, lot lines, ownership lines, pavement markings, signage, and other
visible surface features within the project limits. Manuel also supported the preparation of accurate geospatial mapping
deliverables for engineering design and project planning.
South Dade Transit Operating Center, Miami-Dade Department of Transportation and Public Works Miami, FL
Serving as Field Coordinator, Manuel Lorenzo directed Longitude Surveyors’ CEI construction surveying services by
overseeing field operations, crew coordination, and day-to-day execution of construction stakeout and verification
activities throughout the project lifecycle. He coordinated the establishment of horizontal and vertical control, supported
boundary analysis, and managed field implementation of client-provided site plans and exhibits to ensure accurate
construction layout. Manuel supervised the staking of building corners for formboard placement, test pile locations,
temporary fence alignments, and Building 4 grid line verification while ensuring all construction survey checks, as-
built surveys, and miscellaneous field support services were completed accurately and efficiently. His leadership in
coordinating field personnel, maintaining construction precision, and supporting ongoing contractor needs helped
ensure reliable survey control and successful project progression from initial layout through final construction
verification.
Andalusia Avenue, Mobility Hub Alley, City of Coral Gables, Coral Gables, FL
Leading field coordination for this assignment, Manuel Lorenzo directed Longitude Surveyors’ comprehensive
topographic survey, right-of-way analysis, and Quality Level B Subsurface Utility Engineering services by
managing field crews, survey logistics, and daily operational execution throughout the project. He coordinated
boundary and right-of-way investigations using field evidence, plats, deeds, and project documentation while
overseeing the collection of topographic data, aboveground improvements, and ten-foot grid elevations
to ensure accurate existing conditions mapping. Manuel also supervised drainage and sanitary structure
documentation, including elevations, pipe characteristics, and flow direction, while directing ASCE-compliant
SUE investigations using electromagnetic locating and Ground Penetrating Radar to identify underground
utilities. His leadership ensured efficient field performance, accurate utility and infrastructure documentation,
and the successful integration of survey and SUE data into final deliverables supporting design, planning, and
project development.
