Manuel Lorenzo is a Field Coordinator with extensive experience overseeing
and managing fieldwork for surveying projects. In this role, he is responsible
for coordinating field teams, ensuring precise and accurate data collection,
and maintaining high standards of quality throughout the process. Manuel
collaborates closely with project managers and researchers to ensure that field
operations align with project objectives and deadlines. Additionally, he is a
licensed UAS Drone Pilot, bringing advanced aerial data collection capabilities to
his work, and holds a Certificate for Remote Pilot Level 1 through the Association
for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) Trusted Operator Program.
Bay Harbor Islands Town Hall, Town of Bay Harbor Islands , FL
Manuel Lorenzo served as the Geospatial Data and 3D Laser Scanning Specialist,
supporting the collection, integration, and documentation of survey and
three-dimensional geospatial data for the project. His responsibilities included
establishing and verifying horizontal survey control, coordinating 3D laser
scanning operations using a Leica RTC360 scanner, setting scan registration
targets, and verifying field data to ensure complete and accurate documentation
of existing site conditions. The project included comprehensive boundary and
topographic surveying, graphical depiction of lot lines, ownership lines, rights-
of-way, and easements based on recorded plats, deeds, and field evidence, as
well as the collection of significant above-ground improvements. Elevation data
was obtained on a 25-foot grid to document grade changes and site features,
while interior laser scanning captured detailed building conditions to support
engineering design, renovation planning, and the preparation of accurate
geospatial deliverables.
Manuel Lorenzo served as the 3D Geospatial Documentation Specialist,
supporting the collection and integration of topographic survey and three-
dimensional geospatial data for the project. His responsibilities included
establishing and verifying survey control, coordinating 3D laser scanning
operations, setting scan registration targets, collecting detailed field
measurements, and verifying data quality to ensure accurate documentation of
existing site conditions. The project included a topographic survey, Subsurface
Utility Engineering (SUE) designation, and 3D laser scanning at the valve vault and
force main connection located at the South Shore Drive Pump Station adjacent
to Hagen Street in Miami Beach. Survey activities documented roadway features,
spot elevations, and grade changes, while the laser scanning accurately captured
the valve vault interior, force main connection, and surrounding infrastructure
to support engineering design, utility coordination, and preparation of accurate
geospatial deliverables.
