2. Qualifications
with recommendations for rail, bus rapid
transit (BRT), and other modes. PDS performed
suitability analyses for autonomous vehicles
and corridor-based BRT, developed conceptual
engineering, 30% roadway conceptual design,
and evaluated multiple transit technologies such
as AV, BRT, LRT, HRT, and Monorail. The team also
conducted a comprehensive 16-mile Right-of-
Way survey along Oakland Park Boulevard, this
survey was crucial for the geometry aspects of
a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project and included
capturing all above-ground features.
• PDS was Subconsultant.
• The project was successfully completed.
TRN2128229P1 Airport-Seaport-Convention
Center Transportation PD&E Study
18-19-008 Continuing A/E Services for
Professional Fees $10K-$200K
Owner: Broward County Transportation
Department (BCT)
Consulting Cost: $421K
Mr. Christopher Bucknor PE, PMP, ENV SP
Principal Program Manager, Transit & Rail
GFT Inc.
(305) 908-3927 / 800 NW 62nd Avenue, Suite
No. 490 Miami, FL 33126
PDS provided professional surveying, utility
coordination, and preliminary engineering
support for the proposed fixed guideway
connection between the Fort Lauderdale
Airport Intermodal Center (IMC), Port Everglades,
and the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward
County Convention Center. PDS performed
a comprehensive topographic and design
survey along 4.8 miles of corridor, capturing
above- and below-ground utilities, stormwater
features, and right-of-way information. The team
also developed 3D Digital Terrain Models (DTM)
using GPS, RTK, and LiDAR technologies, and
coordinated with Utility Agency Owners (UAOs)
to identify existing utilities, assess potential
conflicts, and support preliminary engineering
design, documentation, and cost estimates.
• PDS is Subconsultant.
• The project is currently ongoing.
Owner: City of Miami Gardens
Consulting Cost: $400K
Mr. Leslie Pettit
City of Miami Gardens
(305) 622-8000 Ext. 2570 / 1050 NW 163rd Drive
Miami Gardens, FL 33169
PDS provides multidisciplinary engineering and
surveying support to the City of Miami Gardens
through various work orders under the Leslie
Estates Neighborhood Improvement Program
and other City infrastructure initiatives.
