FIRM OVERVIEW Kimley-Horn is a full-service, multidisciplinary consulting firm providing planning, engineering, structural, landscape architecture, and environmental services to public- and private-sector clients. The firm was founded in 1967 as a three-person transportation planning and traffic engineering firm in Raleigh, North Carolina, and has since grown into one of the largest and fastest-growing full-service consulting firms in the country. Kimley-Horn established its Florida presence in 1968 with the opening of its West Palm Beach office to serve local utilities. In the early 1970s, the firm built a strong reputation in regional and urban area transportation planning, traffic impact analysis, parking planning and design, traffic control system design, and statewide and local traffic operations and safety studies. During this period, the firm also expanded its service offerings to include structural, highway, and bridge design, as well as airport planning and design. Today, Kimley-Horn has more than 10,000 employees in more than 170 offices across the United States and Puerto Rico, offering a full range of consulting services to local, regional, national, and international clients. In Florida alone, the firm has more than 1,700 employees in 27 offices.
