<br />Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI) an Intertek
<br />Company, (dba Intertek-PSI) , is a naƟonally recognized
<br />consulƟng engineering and tesƟng firm providing
<br />integrated services in several disciplines, including
<br />geotechnical and environmental engineering,
<br />construcƟon services, materials engineering & tesƟng,
<br />roof & pavement consulƟng, asbestos management,
<br />and faciliƟes consulƟng and engineering. We are a
<br />leader among the naƟon’s independent tesƟng
<br />organizaƟons and rank among the country’s largest
<br />consulƟng engineering firms. PSI was incorporated in
<br />Delaware, June 26, 1972. However, the name was not
<br />used in the marketplace unƟl the 1980’s. The Company
<br />was founded as A&H Materials TesƟng in 1961 in
<br />Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.
<br />Over the past 40 years, PSI has built an extensive
<br />conƟnuing services client list that includes Miami-
<br />Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach CounƟes; the CiƟes of
<br />Miami, Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale,
<br />Pompano Beach, and Hollywood; Miami-Dade,
<br />Broward, and Palm Beach County Schools; South
<br />Florida Water Management District, FDOT, FDEP, and
<br />many other government and municipal agencies. Our
<br />work in the greater South Florida area has made us
<br />very familiar with local procedures, condiƟons,
<br />regulaƟons, and applicable codes.
<br />PSI has provided our services on all types of public and
<br />private projects throughout Florida and the Caribbean,
<br />including Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, and beyond. Our
<br />experƟse has been uƟlized on a mulƟtude of
<br />developments including roadways, airports, seaports,
<br />yacht basins/marinas, government faciliƟes, schools,
<br />hospitals, high-rises, hotels & resorts, retail spaces, and
<br />residenƟal construcƟons.

<br />that comply with government regulaƟons, meet
<br />project needs, and reduce liability. PSI’s environmental
<br />services include indoor air quality tesƟng, asbestos
<br />program management, Phase I Environmental Site
<br />Assessments (ESA), Phase II and Phase III ESAs,
<br />environmental drilling, environmental site
<br />characterizaƟon, soil and groundwater studies,
<br />remedial design and acƟon, underground storage tank
<br />(UST) management, water resources invesƟgaƟons,

<br />PSI provides geotechnical soluƟons for a variety of city
<br />and county governments and private clients
<br />throughout Florida under challenging premises. Our
<br />personnel have performed thousands of subsurface
<br />exploraƟons in south Florida and our experience
<br />ranges from projects requiring a few soil borings to
<br />large projects requiring several hundred borings. We
<br />provide qualified recommendaƟons and use the most
<br />updated field equipment to gather our informaƟon.
<br />PSI maintains complete faciliƟes and equipment for the
<br />inspecƟon and tesƟng of soils, concrete, structural
<br />elements, metals, pavement, roofing materials, and
<br />specialty items. In addiƟon to these basic services, we
<br />perform a full range of consulƟng engineering services,
<br />forensic evaluaƟons, and quality assurance/quality
<br />control for construcƟon projects.
<br />PSI consistently maintains cerƟficaƟon by all perƟnent
<br />regionally and naƟonally recognized tesƟng laboratory
<br />cerƟficaƟon bodies relaƟve to the types of tesƟng
<br />normally performed in our industry. All measurement
<br />equipment and instruments are rouƟnely inventoried,
<br />marked and calibrated in accordance with the NaƟonal
<br />Bureau of Standards. In addiƟon to cerƟficaƟon, the
<br />tesƟng procedures are conducted under the guidelines
<br />of ASTM E329 where applicable, and in all cases, a state
<br />registered engineer oversees all inspecƟon and
<br />materials tesƟng procedures.
<br />Our laboratories and personnel fully comply with the
<br />standards of ASTM, AASHTO, AISC, AWS and FDOT. Our
<br />laboratories have been inspected and approved by the
<br />FDOT, AASHTO, CCRL, and the US Army Corps of
<br />Engineers. PSI also maintains a CMEC cerƟfied
<br />laboratory and cerƟfied experienced field personnel.
