City of Coconut Creek <br />Oak Trails Park Improvements <br />Coconut Creek, Florida <br />For this Park expansion project, Miller <br />Legg is the prime firm providing landscape <br />architecture, planning, civil engineering, <br />surveying and environmental services <br />from initial design through construction. <br />The purpose of this scope is to expand the <br />existing five-acre passive park by <br />incorporating two additional five-acre <br />parcels, creating a 10-acre expansion area. <br />The project includes renovating an <br />existing ± 1,000 SF residential building into <br />a nature center with classroom and <br />restroom facilities. The project will pursue <br />LEED certification while maintaining a $2.5 <br />million budget, supported in part by <br />Florida Communities Trust (FCT) grant <br />funding. Proposed park amenities include <br />water fountains, a multi-use trail, outdoor <br />fitness equipment, picnic tables, a multi- <br />purpose field, a butterfly garden, and one <br />acre of native vegetation. <br />Surveying services include boundary, <br />topographic and SUE.
